Coral ambassador looks ahead to his rides at Aintree on Saturday
Cirque Royal ran OK at Cheltenham last time and while this looks a competitive little race, he’s got a decent level of form behind him and if he can find some more improvement here he could definitely be involved.
Grangeclare Glory has been in great form, winning well at Newton Abbot, and then finishing second at Ascot, and the winner that day has come out and won again so the form looks strong.
As a result he carries top weight here but he deserves too and hopefully it won’t stop him running another big race.
Umbrigado is a funny horse, he’s talented but capable of throwing in a bad one. Last time he ran OK at Bangor, getting outpaced but then staying on to finish third.
This race should suit him, and if he shows his best, there’s no reason why he can’t run well.
We’ve had some fun around here, winning this race five years ago, and he won it again last year. He’s five pounds higher than twelve months ago, but he did absolutely bolt up that day.
He is now 12, and this is another big field for this great race, but it’s always been his target, he seems in great order at home, and there’s no reason he can’t run another big race over these famous fences.
Martinhal was in great form last season, and his two wins around Exeter have worked out well, particularly the second of them.
He’s another who’s in good order at home, the track should suit him and I’d hope he has a cracking chance.
