Sunday’s Racing Tip: Allthekingshorses rates as a big each-way wager at Market Rasen

You can almost smell it can’t you. The Cheltenham Festival is just two sleeps away now and Lewis Jones is bouncing off the walls, as I’m sure you are too. He’s got plenty of angles to exploit in the next few days in terms of finding winners at Prestbury Park but for today he’s at Market Rasen getting on a 5/1 shot with bulky each-way stakes…..

We are getting close, comrades. A whole season’s work will soon be culminated at the Cheltenham Festival. So may questions will be answered and hopefully big money will be made by all of us.

But we must continue with the daily slog and in fairness today’s action at Market Rasen is above average considering how close we are to the Festival. There’s plenty of punting possibilities to ponder and I think I’ve found a very interesting each-way prospect in the RASE Veterinary Equine Handicap Hurdle.

Trainer Philip Hobbs is a man that looks ripe to bang in a few winners at the Cheltenham Festival this year and with his string in such good form, the chances of Allthekingshorses today should be respected.

The 5/1 shot has been well backed this morning and it’s not hard to see why now he’s been switched back to hurdles. We feel a revival is on the horizon today.

He won off similar mark in 3m handicap hurdle during 2012 but chase career failed to get off the ground since, failing to break his maiden tag over the larger obstacles which was a tad surprising considering the way he attacks his hurdles.

His jumping last time especially at Cheltenham behind Mendip Express was horribly wayward. But this is a horse with plenty of talent as shown by his win at Doncaster off 126 (127 today) when he travelled very well on good ground before putting the race to bed in good style.

If returning to that form he’ll be hard to keep out of the frame. Get on with two point win stakes at 5/1.
