“I was very impressed by Meditate when she beat me at the Curragh. She picked up in the last half furlong, hit the line well and won going away.
“Then she went to Naas and beat subsequent winners in the race, so I think she will take all the beating.
“An outsider who might put it up to her would be the Rossa Ryan charge Queen Olly. She maybe hasn’t that much of a hard race so she’ll have to step up and she has only had one run, so that is a concern.
“But she was very impressive first time out and is always doing things at her ease.
“I ride Twilight Jet and I wouldn’t be swapping my horse for anything else in the race.
“He went to Naas at about 80% for the race and made a good field look very ordinary. He has improved a lot since then, so I think he is going to take an awful lot of beating.
“He’ll handle the ground, the trip seems perfect for him, so I can’t look past my own horse.”
“I have to go with Cachet. She handled the good to firm ground at Newmarket very well to win the English 1000 Guineas, then went to France where good to soft was just a bit too soft.
“Being back on good to firm ground should bring out the best in her and it’ll be hard for Inspiral to come here for a first run of the season and take on a horse like Cachet.”
“Derby form is always the best form no matter what way you go about it.
“Changingoftheguard jumped out and made all the running that day and got passed after going a good strong gallop the whole way.
“This is a step back in class for him, so he is a very worthy favourite.”
