Monday’s Racing Tips: 4/1 double stands out at Southwell

cheltenhamfreebets

Lewis Jones tipped up a nice 7/1 winner over the weekend in his Lucky 15 that came close to bringing in big profits and the returning-to-form tipster has his eyes on a couple of short priced runners at Southwell today….

It’s an all-weather double-header today, with a jumpers’ bumper card at Southwell, plus a meeting at Wolverhampton. The weather has abandoned the meeting at Carlisle.

Our focus is on the action at Southwell, but punting options look thin on the ground with lots of runners using this race more like a racecourse gallop than a competitive heat. It’s going to be key to get horses on side that have previous course form on the Fibresand in the book.

Masterful Act looks best bet material in the totepool.com “Jumpers´ Bumper” National Hunt Flat Race. The Alan McCabe yard has a knack of producing multiple winning horses on this type of surface and Masterful Act has racked up six wins from seven starts at the Nottinghamshire-based track.

Those victories include two course-and-distance wins achieved by a combined margin of 33 lengths and he has winning form in a jumpers’ bumper at this track in March. Under Jason Maguire he sauntered clear by 16 lengths with the field strung out across the track. He leads the market at Evens and McCabe’s charge should have too much tactical speed for his rivals over two miles.

Sin Bin hasn´t been seen since a disappointing chase debut in November but he finished second in a Polytrack bumper just over a year ago and has big claims of getting his head in front in the toteexacta “Jumpers´ Bumper” National Hunt Flat Race.

The Paul Nicholls-trained charge, who is a 13/8 shot, has two turf bumper wins to his name and should have far too much class for a very low level field of overrated handicappers.

Our recommended wager is to double up the two selections in a double. At the current prices, you should be able to get just over 4/1 for your money. Our advice is to get on with a two point win stake.
