Monday’s Racing Tip: Go on my Son! Dutiful to destroy them at Kempton

Lewis Jones continued his freakishly good tipping rate of late by advising a 5/1 winner at Ascot yesterday, to go along with his bulky 11/2 winner earlier in the week. He’s changing his tactic today and has found a favourite to steam into at Kempton…..

Great day yesterday. Actually, it’s been a great week on the tipping front. Starting with a 14/1 place at Leopardstown on Sunday before Alpha Tauri at 11/2 and Manyriverstocross at 5/1 both justified bulky each way stakes to win their respective races at Southwell and Ascot.

If you had followed my advice down to a tee with a £10 per point since the end of Cheltenham you would be sitting pretty with +£340.50 about now. If only life was this beautiful all the time.

I’m usually not one for advocating steaming into short price favourites, especially on the all-weather, but am making an exception today for the chances of Dutiful Son in the 6 Places At Aintree At Handicap (4:30 at Kempton).

This horse is expected to make quite a decent sprinter in time and has looked very decent on his two showings over six furlongs at Kempton for trainer Jeremy Noseda.

As soon as he crossed the line last time out when easing to victory from a shocking draw at Kempton in February, I promised myself to follow this animal wherever he rocked up next.

Here he is today at Kempton again and although this race has more strength in depth than his previous wins, a mark of 81 (a 8lb hike in weights) should make him very hard to beat under the master Ryan Moore.

Monday’s Tip

16:30: DUTIFUL SON 10/11 (3PTS WIN) – Bet365

Watching the replays of that victory, he was fully in control of the race despite only clocking an average time and pulling just one and a half lengths ahead of the pack in behind. He was in a different league to the others and a similar story could be on the cards today.

The former champion jockey has some tasty rides at Kempton but this one looks the one with the most potential. Moore has racked up a 60% strike rate when riding for the talented Noseda this season and it seems he is the go to guy for all of Noseda’s hot young horses.

This one’s a very short price, but should be a good thing to keep the profit ticking over. Three point win stakes at 10/11.
