Kempton Day Two Tips: Three Kingdoms to be crowned at 7/2

Christmas may be over, but the Christmas Festival is still in full swing at Kempton Park and punters have a chance to witness the sensational Sprinter Sacre, who is the highest chaser in the world, make his seasonal reappearance in the Desert Orchid Chase at 2:30.
He’s bidding for his eleventh straight victory over the timber.
In all honesty, this could be the time for the layers to get Sprinter Sacre (1/4) beat as the vibes surrounding him this season haven’t been great and Nicky Henderson has decided against running him in any of the big two-mile chases so far.
Sire De Grugy (4/1) will be able to take advantage of any chinks in Sprinter Sacre’s armour but we feel the prices are about right, so it’s a race to watch rather than punt.
Following short price favourites in handicaps is not a tactic that will bring in rewards in the long term but we’re casting that negativity aside today and following the favourite in the William Hill – In The App Store Handicap Hurdle.
Three Kingdoms is a horse we’ve already won a bit off this season when he scooted clear in a novice hurdle and now back at handicap level, he looks the good thing of the day.
It was hard not be impressed with the way he travelled in a hot race at Cheltenham two starts ago.
John Ferguson’s charge came tanking down the hill and looked the most likely winner but just couldn’t see his effort through on Cheltenham’s notoriously tough hill.
Kempton’s flatter track will be right up his street and it will be disappointing if he doesn’t come there pulling double with two to jump off his current mark of 131.
The 7/2 should be attacked with a two point win stake.
Our second selection today is Paul Nicholls’ young chaser Dodging Bullets, who may just put pressure on odds-on favourite Grandouet’s jumping in the williamhill.com Novices´ Chase (Registered As The Wayward Lad Novices´ Chase) (Grade 2).
Henderson’s hurdler gets 6lbs and was a far higher rated hurdler than Dodging Bullets but he doesn’t strike as a natural chaser. He is untidy at his fences, lacks the ability to settle and has fallen already this season at Sandown.
Dodging Bullets on the other hand is very tidy over the bigger obstacles and comes into this race unbeaten.
Despite being wrong at the weights, he’s the bet at 15/8. Get on with a three point stake.
