Daily Horse Racing Tip: Bobs Worth a punt at Haydock

bobs-worthTipster Lewis Jones has picked out two bets from the televised action on a stellar day’s racing from Haydock and Ascot….

If the markets are to be believed, then the Betfair Chase, the feature on a simply stunning’s day’s racing, is a two-horse race between Bobs Worth and Silviniaco Conti. We disagree with these market forces.

In our view it’s a one horse race. You can forget all the other runners; this race is all about Cheltenham Gold Cup hero BOBS WORTH and punters should have confidence in Nicky Henderson’s star chaser continuing his dominance of the three-mile chasing scene.

Unbeaten going left-handed, Bobs Worth may have yet to race at Haydock during his distinguished career but the layout is very similar to Cheltenham and Newbury as only the toughest of sorts survive in the testing track-formation.

Having won the Hennessy Gold Cup off a monster weight before going on to land the big one at Cheltenham, Bobs Worth has showed his is currently king of the chasing tree and there doesn’t seem anything coming through the ranks to dethrone him. Silviniaco Conti won this last year but was disappointing on his last start at Aintree while there are stamina doubts regarding Dynaste and Cue Card. This is Bobs Worth race to lose.

We’re going in double handed today with ANNIE POWER’s chances in the Coral Hurdle over at Ascot very hard to ignore.

She looks the next superstar mare off the Willie Mullins production line and is unbeaten over hurdles and has the look of the next Quevega about her.

It’s a big statement from Mullins to travel over to Ascot with his potentially special young hurdler and judging by the way she has beat all before her in Ireland, if she’s ready to herself justice, then she is worth chancing against the boys here.

She has won all her four starts over hurdles, but the one to concentrate on was her sensational effort to completely thrash the highly regarded Defy Logic in the Grade Two paddypower.com Novice Hurdle from the Paul Nolan yard who is owned by JP McManus.

The way she travelled through the race before quickening incredibly impressively away from a stellar field was really quite breath-taking. She’ll need to improve to beat Zarkandar but with Mullins in her corner anything is possible.

Using a points to profit system just to record our winning margins we are advising a 2pt win on Bobs Worth and 1pt on Annie Power.

Good luck if following, comrades.

Recommended Bets:

2pts win on BOBS WORTH (Betfair Chase 3:00 Haydock)

1pt win on ANNIE POWER (Coral Hurdle 2:40 Ascot)
